The included charts and table on the following page illustrate the distributive impact on Idaho taxpayers of reducing the property tax m&o levy 1.5 mils and increasing the sales tax rate ½ cent. Most families would end up with a net tax increase. Furthermore, there would be a net revenue loss in state and local revenues of $20 million.
